All good things always come to an end. For those who don't yet know, I'm currently planning on moving to Washington come late October/Early November, which, like all big moves cross-country it's coming with a lot of planning. For some context, my current job is as a customer service representative for a company that's not really important, and I work from home at the moment, which is incredibly fortunate! Talking to customers is always a nightmare but I'm always on call with my coworkers and I rarely encounter issues I can't solve, plus half the time it's not busy and I can be on my phone or working on whatever else on the side.
However, with this move my boss informed me just today that I will not be able to move to Washington like she'd originally thought, or they'll have to fire me. My boss is a wonderful lady who doesn't care much for company policy, and I know enough about the inner workings from being with this company for 3 years and being in leadership positions previously to know that means there's really no way around it. I thought about lying about where I lived, but I know that with employment it's quite easy to trace that back to you, and they absolutely would find out. So, now I'm going to have to be finding a new job on top of everything else, it's stressful to have to plan a move around two different jobs like this but I'm still optimistic as usual. I know that I've been planning on finding new employment eventually, I just didn't know it'd be this soon. I need to get out of the customer service life and find an entry level position in something less customer-based, I can't stand it. I need to be out of the house more again, staying home all the time just makes me feel trapped and lonely.
With all that being said, if you start hearing less from me it's because I'm heading into the trenches (job hunting) and I will be coming back from it with something better, and hopefully a nice change of pace like I'm looking for.
